Nice layout and easy navigation... A+ for that.
However...
the color scheme is a little drab, everything is a shade of grey. Try and add a little color.
Also, I do not know if it came from your site, or an ad on your site, or wherever, but I got a pop-up. Consider not using them."A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."
- Frank Herbert, Dune -
Where is Apple MPEG-4? I didn't see it on the list. Nor did I see pixlet on the list.
I didn't get a pop-up. -
Awesome thanks for the feedback, I may try making the site available in 5 different colors for the visitor.... I was thinking...
Green, Blue, Red, Grey, and Yellow/brown.
And then the default colors will be greyHow about that.
(Unless another color will be better for default)
There is also no popups on the site. This site will only conatin 1 banner located in the bottom left. I do not support popups.

Apple MPEG-4 comes bundled with Quicktime 6
Pixlet Information:
Pixlet is the first studio-grade codec for filmmakers. Pixlet provides 20-25:1 compression, allowing a 75MB/sec series of frames to be delivered in a 3MB/sec movie, similar to DV data rates. Pixlet lets high-end digital film frames play in real time with any 1GHz G4 or better Panther Mac, without investing in costly, proprietary hardware.
It comes bundled with Panther (OS X.3 on the Mac) -
Thanks
I will be adding those 2 shortly. Grealy appreciated.

Okay i have updated the video codec list, I also arranged them in ABC order.
Tgpo, do you know the fourcc code for those you ahve announced? (See Video Codecs) that relate to those new entries? If not its alright it will eventually get on there. Appreciate the great help!
Keep the requests coming -
Great looking, well laid out site! Good job, Jason! Like the others, I too would like to see just a little color, though...not a criticism, just would be more pleasing to the eye, I think.
BTW: There's a huge list of FourCC codes at http://kibus1.narod.ru/sof/abcavi/fourcc.htm
along with downloads of the abcAVI program (it's freeware) that can be used to edit/change/browse AVI tags & FourCC codes, if that helps you at all. I recently got an AVI that uses FourCC of "COL1" that I looked up on that site, I noticed you don't have that particular one yet on yours, so you could use some codes from that list to add to yours.
Download abcAVI here: http://kibus1.narod.ru/frames_eng.htm?sof/abcavi/index.htm (latest version 1.7.2.107 - 3 Nov. 2003)
(BTW: Baldrick, it might be nice to add this prog. to the tools section of dvdrhelp.com)
Info on abcAVI:
abcAVI Tag Editor is little stand alone utility for viewing/editing tags in AVI files. In short it allows you to get information on movie from Internet Movie Database or type it by yourself and save that info inside AVI file. Supports RIFF INFO tags, MovieID tags, IDivX tags. Allows editing more then 40 tags, not only "Title", "Subject" and "Copyright". Support of RIFF INFO tags ensures backward compatibility with standart Windows players like MS Media Player.
abcAVI Tag Editor shows complete information on AVI file both in tree style and in short form. It recognizes more then 650 FourCC and TwoCC codes (shows complete names of audio/video codecs used). Has predefined lists of contents for some tags (Product, Genre, Rated, Language, Source form and Medium). Allows multiple file editing - supports Drag-and-Drop files and directories to the main window (for example from "Find files" window), embeds its item to the MS Explorer context menu.
abcAVI Tag Editor allows changing of FourCC video codec signatures, AVI frame rate (playback speed) and video frame size.
abcAVI Tag Editor has Import function - getting information from Internet Movie Database. You can choose what to import (around 30 positions) and set the corresponding limitations. abcAVI sends all queries through e-mail interface and economize your bandwidth (only usefull information is getting from IMDb).
abcAVI Tag Editor has flexible report creating system (Export function). You can create your own export templates using more then 150 predefined keywords (technical information on AVI file, AVI tags, etc). abcAVI supports TXT, HTML, XLS formats and other textual formats at your choice. As an additional function export system can rename AVI files.
If anyone has some input/comments about this program I'd like to know your opinion. ThanksR.
