  1. I have Pinnacle PCTV and TMPGenq using Video8 input - sometimes, but not always, the sound and video are up to 20 seconds out of sync after a 90min movie. I have tried various options but cannot pin it down. Any ideas anyone

  2. A little bit more info is needed - I have a 2.2GHz Celeron, P4 motherboard, 512MB RAM, Soundblaster live soundcard and onboard video. Input is composite from a 90min Video8 tape - video into Pinnacle card, audio into Behringer mixer (I have too many other sound inputs - but not used together)CPU/memory usage is only medium during capture - no other programs are running and all tray icons closed. The Pinnacle software produces MPEG-2 PAL format output at 6.5Mbits and 720x576 - just enough to fill a DVD disk. I cannot tell whether the creeping out-of-sync is in the MPEG-2 output capture file or generated by TMPGenc during the encoding process. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Tmpgenc-Not.
Most likely your TV capture card, if that's what you're using.
I went thru this kinda hell forever until I finally got an analog-to-DV
    converter.
I got a ADS Pyro A/V link, my audio sync problems ended.
    Good luck
