  1. I have managed to Rip a DVD to my hard drive and they are BUP IFO and VOB files in VIDEO_TS folder. (No AUDIO_TS though?). What do I do with them now. How do I burn the to a DVD to watch in my standalone DVD Player. What software can I use. I have Easy CD?DVD creator 6, which does not seem to oblige.
Should it have an AUDIO_TS folder?
    Thanks

Wish I could help you, as I use Nero at this point. I load all the DVD files you just authored, and put them in the VIDEO_TS folder and select Write. The files then format the blank DVD into a playable DVD.

  3. You should be able to burn them just as a data DVD depending how forgiving your dvd player is. In NERO it has a high compatibility borders feature when you make dvds which makes them have a higher chance of working. I think you do need the AUDIO_TS folder but there is never anything in there.

  4. Thanks, what do you mean you load them into a VIDEO_TS folder? Mine were already automatically put in one when ripped onto HD. Does this just save the step you mentioned. What option on nero do you use. Easy DVD/CD creator may also have this?

  5. Most here use either Nero or RecordNow Max to burn DVDR's. You could try Easy CD/DVD creator 6, however my experience is that it doesn't finalize or close the DVD thus making it useless for most stand alone players (perhaps they have fixed this). Anyway all the files go into the VIDEO_TS folder and in your case you burn that folder as a "data disc".

Also look in tools on this site and there are a few free burning programs you may want to try out. I suggest you burn to a DVD-RW disc until you have the process working 100%.
