I cant convert asf to avi or mpg with TMPGEnc?

Had tried to convert asf to mpg, it starts but frezze after just few second?
If convert to .avi (just chosed save as .avi) the files get huges..already 2 giga after 5% conversion?

Anyone can help me out?
Most important is how to convert a asf movie to mpg.

Is there other software to convert asf2avi?

i know what your talking about. ive had that happen to me too. with another comp (p2/233) that had win98se on it and tmpgenc 12d i believe, it encoded a 45min asf in about 5hrs with motion setting set to normal. but with this mighty athlon 1400mhz w/win2000pro it freezes and when it finally starts it says 88hr eta and for only a 42min clip. i suspect it has something to do with win2000 but im not sure. if you have enough disk space, like say 400-500megs per minute w/compression, you can use vdub 1.3 to save it as a large avi, then you can do whatever you want with it. if you dont have the space you might wanna try it on a different machine. hope this helps.
