  1. I have built a new computer.

Using an Intel board, it comes with all this wonderful software including Intervideo's WinDVD.

Since I built this computer I my DVD's won't play sound in Windows Media Player.

On my old computer, they played fine. Best I can tell, i'm using the Intervideo's codec, and that may be my problem. on my old computer i used Power DVD's Codec and it worked with no problems.

I was wondering, how does one remove the MPEG-2 codecs from windows? and then reinstall a better codec? i have tried to uninstall everything that has to do with Intervideo but have no luck. I have searched Microsoft's technet and have had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
