I have authored a DVD with Ulead DVD MovieFactory.
The DVD has two titles, both of which Ulead has put in a single title set.
Is there a utility I can use to split a single title set into two title sets (one per
title)?
The reason for wanting to do this is that one of my titles is 4:3 and the
other is 16:9. If I can split the title set then I can use IfoEdit to edit
the aspect ratio of my widescreen title.
Please note that I do not want to split a title. I already have two titles; I just want one title per title set.
If someone is kind enough to answer this, please keep in mind that I am very new to DVD authoring when phrasing your response!
Many thanks,
Rob.

If you want a menu, then you could use TMPGEnc DVD-Author.
For the 1st track, choose the Add DVD Movie and select the movie you made. Edit the start and end points of the first movie.
Select 'Add new track' and select the same movie. Edit the start and end points of the 2nd movie. DVD-Author will create 2 titlesets and a menu. Before you burn to DVD, you'll have to edit the VTS.IFO Titleset Movie Attributes aspect ratio to 16:9 for letterbox.
You could also use DVD-Shrink but without a menu.
BTW: How did you make a DVD with Movie Factory using 2 screen formats and 1 title set? When I tried, it made 2 title sets. What were your source files and resolutions?
Hope this helps

Thanks. I'll try that.
To answer your question: I'm adding AVI files from my DV camcorder. They're both 720X480.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but perhaps I should have mentioned that I'm using version 2 of MovieFactory.
What were you doing to cause MF to create 2 title sets? -
I just followed you advice with TMPGEnc DVD Author. It worked a treat. Thanks a million!

I'm using MF2.0.
I made a short clip with TMPGEnc using 720x480 and another using 720x360. When MF2 imported the clips, it saw one as 4:3 and the other as 16:9. After creating the DVD folders, there were 2 titlesets. Same thing happend when mixing VOB and a Mpeg files.
What did you use to encode the DV.AVI files to MPEG and why is 1 movie letterbox and the other not?
