I have an XVID that is 25fps.
I realize that the original source would be PAL but is it not true to say that most rippers (including Smartripper) have the option to make it region free and therefor the 25fps could be in fact be region free?
If so,is there a software I can use that will tell me if indeed it is region free or still locked in as a region 2 ?

Only dvds has regions. Region coding has nothing to do with the video.

Thanks Baldrick..
So, to be clear .
If I have a 25fps XVID then I can safely convert it to DVD without worrying about whether my region 1 player will play it?
(I realize that framrate conversion is a tricky thing...so I should leave it at 25fps???)
