  1. I captured video from a video capture card with audio at 44100khz CD quality
in VirtualDub? But when I want to compress it, the audio option in MP3 only
    has the maximum 56kB/s with 22050Khz. I want to do a 128KB/s with 44100.
Why? I got a new computer recently and this is the first time I do video
stuff. Is that something wrong with the MP3 codec? Or something else?

You possibly only have the windows included codec for MP3 which allows only this as the highest bitrate you can obtain a number of codecs that allow you to encoded MP3 streams at higher bitrates a useful tool is the Universal AV Codec package which contains a number of these MP3 codec that can support 44.1KHz and 48KHz Audio Sample Rates plus bitrates as high as 320KBps
