I am a relative newbie to backing up DVD's and I ffel compelled to make an observation. I have seen a lot of conversation about 4x and 8x burners which has all been very informative but the real issue in backing up DVD's is how long it takes to author the backup DVD. I presently use DVD Shring 3.0 Beta 5 using deep analysis and then burn the DVD using Nero 6 Burning ROM. This is simple and takes about an hour plus or minus depending on the DVD. Any feedback would be interesting.

I use a Lite On 16x drive strictly for ripping using Shrink or DVDDecryptor, then burn the disk back with a Memorex 4x Burner - on the average about 1/2 hour total time.
