I got my new NEC 1300a drive last week and finially got around to trying it out.
I tried DVD Shrink 3 Beta 5 and it gets a CRC error on every disk I throw at it. I tried DVDXcopy and got the same thing. I tried Nero Reencode but it doesn't read anything from teh drive, not sure how to use it.
I put in my Nimo DVD and Shrink did a deep analysis of it no problem. I tried to remove extras with DVDStripper but there are 400+ items and no way of telling what's what so I gave up for the night.
Any ideas why I'm getting so many CRC errors?

were you using dvdshrink direct from disc? try ripping the disc to your hard drive with dvddecrypter first, then run files through dvdshrink.

You may have a bad one. Alternately you have trashed disks, not sure. Mine only rips at 2x, so I never use it for ripping.

Did it happen before and/or after you applied the hacked firmware? I've seen a number of 'problems' with hacked firmware on the 1300a.
