  1. In Win98 I was able to stitch several .mpg files together with a simple command (copy /b file1.mpg + file2.mpg +... final.mpg) But now that I upgraded to W2KPro, it won't play the stitched file. It starts fine but gets stuck between the 1st & 2nd merge. This also occurs when played back under XP Pro using Windows Media Player 8.

Real Player however, will play it through but the quality is not as fine as displayed in Window's Media Player.

Would anyone have any idea how to fix the Media Player? Or perhaps know of a quick and simple stitching program.

This is very helpful because my digital camera only records in :30 intervals.

    Thanks all

Have a look at the tools section to the left...do a search for MPG joiners and grab a freeware one.
    If in doubt, Google it.
