  1. Does anyone know what would cause Shrink to have a "redundancy error"? I am backing up a DVD and when it hits 80% while Deep Analyzing I keep getting the error. Shrink is an awesome program and I have always used without a single problem until now. Any info would be appreciated.

  2. I got the same error whilst trying to backup a dvd using shrink. I tried the disk in another drive and shrink worked fine. Maybe there is a problem with the reading from your DVD drive and/or disk. Have you tried other disks or an alternative drive?

  5. It happened on a disk yesterday, about 3 times at exactly the same point (10%). I haven't tried any other disks yet in the same drive. I could only assume a small scratch on the disk, or a slightly dodgy drive. When I tried ripping from my DVD writer it worked fine, first time.

  6. I think it may be the disc itself. First I tried it with DVD Fab, but it was about 4.6G so I had to use 2 disks. When I used Shrink I found the DVD contained 3 versions of the movie. I clicked Re-author and dragged the version I wanted over to the window. After deleting the subtitles and audio I didn't want the green indictor line on top read 3,600 , but when I went to the start/end screen the size was 4,600.

For some reason my DVD writer would let me rip for it. I can only rip from the player. I have been trying to find out why that is, but have had no luck.

    Thanks for your quick replies

It's a bad disk. You can get around it by using DVDDEcryptor and telling it to ignore errors anc keep going. You will get some pixleization at that point.

Bad disc, scratch or fingerprint. Try a different drive. Try ripping to HD first.
    If in doubt, Google it.
