  1. I can get DVIX to convert to MPEG then turn it into a DVD, But if i try to do a XVID the Sound and Video is out. (this happens all the time on anything i do). Is the a program that will do it. Hopefully, one program. Thx in advance. Sam

  2. TmpGenc, amongst others, will convert Xvid to DVD compliant mpeg-2. You can then author and burn.

    The audio sync problem could be many things. The most likley that I can think of is the use of VBR audio in the avi file. Open the file in virtualdub. If it gives a warning about vbr audio, that is the problem. Search the forum for solutions as they are simple and have been detailed many times.

    There is only 1 basic difference between XviD and DivX, and a computer completely ignores it (but not standalone players).

    The ultimate problem is your renderer (the codec that breaks XviD down so TMPGEnc can re-encode it). Do you have the XviD codec installed? Usually an old XviD codec is the problem. Search Fourcc changer, and reset the avi to divx/divx and see if that works?
