  1. Ok you people have helped me out of many tight spots, and I need you again.

I recently went online shopping and ordered everything I needed for two new computers.

I am using Crucial 512 PC2100 sticks for both
Asus P4...-MX 533 motherboards for both
    2.4 Intel Celerons for both.
120 Western Digital Hard drives for both

I picked up new cases from raidmax.

I installed everything today, got everything the way it should be. It powers up, and fans come on. But thats it, I dont hear the hard drives kick on, and also the Monitors wont read an input.
It just says "No signal detected"

I went back and back and back, trying everything and it still wont work. And its like this on both set up. The set ups are the exact same too.

What am I doing wrong. I called Asus, and they said they would call back....but didnt. We emaild them, and no reply.

I'm getting close to losing my mind. I know that the problem is probably something really small. I just cant figure it out.

By the way, its onboard video, but I cant get it to go anywhere..

    Please help.

well if thers is no beeps at start i say they might be DOA or yu have the jumpers shorted for front switches when i put systems together
i only have the chip motherboard and ram in so nothing else blows
i think it might need a bios upgrade also for the chip

  3. Here's a quick try (kinda).

Take out everything except the Processor (Unplug really). Take out the RAM, keyboard, audio, video... EVERYTHING but... the chip, CPU fan and Speaker. Then power it up. If the board is bad nothing will happen. If it's good it will beep (if the speaker is hooked up of course). Did you check all the jumpers?? Sometimes the one for the CMOS/BIOS comes jumpered to ground/shorted to protect against static. It WILL NOT turn on will that jumper shorted.. It should be right by the battery. Check that and then go from there. Post back and maybe someone will have the solution.

  4. Try reseating the ram. I use 2 sticks of Crucial 512MB PC3200.

If I have been messing around inside my pc, when I go to boot up it powers on, but no beep or display. This is always fixed by simply taking the ram out and putting it back in again.

    Just my 2 cents.

  6. Thanks everyone, but nothing worked. Spent three hours on the phone with Asus, and in the end I have to RMA both motherboards. What are the odds that i would get two bunk motherboards at once....

Oh well, I'm not messing with Asus anymore. Back to giga-byte.

Thanks again though, for those who replyed and tried to help. This place is great for getting help with stuff.
