In the online manual for the Pioneer DVR-3100-S
http://www.service.pioneer-eur.com/peeservice/RegistrInstrMan.nsf/search?openform&Modelnr=3100
It states that to operate the "Chase Play" feature - the media used must be X2.![]()
But this media is being overtaken by x 4 media, does this mean that I will lose this feature, as 2x media becomes as rare as rocking horse shit?
I have just ordered one of these machines, and I am about to order some media for it at http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/
but I am very worried about the machines compatibility to the latest media.
The machine is listed in the DVD writers section, but it has no media review below it.
Have I bought a piece of Junk?
Break it to me gently.
Before replying , I am aware that Pioneer offer the same machine with an 80 gb hard drive. But I'm not a plumber and therefore I don't earn a lot and I don't like credit.
Thanks in advance.

The price of success is NON Negotiable

Pure assumption but... I would say that what they are trying to tell is that it has to be at least 2x.
