  1. Hey im a newbie to the copying of dvds. Just wondering if there was any way to back up my dvds without extracting them and all that other jazz. Could i just use nero or discjuggler to make a perfect copy? or do i need to get somethin like clonedvd or dvd copy x which i heard sux cause of its 30 second warning. thanks for the help in advance, I just want to knowt he best way to get a perfect copy of my dvds. thanks again

    There is no an easy way to do it. Because most commercial DVD are double in capacity to an existing recordable DVD, you need a program to remove the copyright protection and copy or reencode the video to fit in one or two DVDs.

    Go to the tool section and check the reviews for each tool

    i've had a lot of luck with the program dvd shrink, u should probably try that out, its free and a lot of people like it.

  4. My process involves the following:

    1) DVD Decrypter to backup the DVD onto my hard drive minus the encryption

    2) DVD2ONE to gut it of all menus and extras so that it will fit onto one DVD-R

    3) Nero (in UDF mode) to burn.

    If you don't want to bother with all of the hassles, use DVD X Copy Express. It is very fast and easy to use.
