    Dear friends, I purchased an indiDVD 4x multiple writer... Some how I got a link to upgrade teh fimware to 1.09... Now the computer takes for ever to start.. And once it starts, the dvd drive is not recognized..

    TDK told me that 1.09 film was not for US models.. So, I should go back to filmware 1.08.. That will fix the problem.

    Now, how do i go back to filmware 1.08? When I click on the exe for 1.08, it does not show me the dvd drive.

    Please help.

    download the firmaware for 1.08 from the mfr site.
    delete and uninstall drive from win/xp
    re-install drive on win/xp
    re-flash to 1.08

    dont be so quick to just flash away...

    Thanks dear friend for that reply.. I have some more problems.

    I tried to install the dvd writer on another PC.. I did not install 1.09 on that.. But i get same problem there too. Does that mean that the dvd writer is damaged

    Also, what do you mean by "dont be quick in flushing away.."

    P.S. I am a newbee in dvd writers.
