  1. Hi

    I used a Panasonic NV-SD275 vcr , and a JVC GR-D30 MiniDV camera.

When i play the 35gb AVI file, the film is sometimes coloured( looks nice) and sometimes white/black (nasty) and the picture "fuzzels"(shows lines).

Is this the macrovision causing this?
Can I fix this using a software or must i have hardware?

    Thanks for any help.

Have you tried a home movie on VHS without MV? Not that this will give you a definite answer as I have had a lot of trouble with home movies that are "macrovision protected". But if you have no problems with a home movie MV is most likley your culprit and it's the Cam that's doing it.

  4. Use a Sima Videocopy Master. It inhances the input signal for capture, it will also eliminate protection on DVD and VHS sources.
If it works, don't fix it.

    Hey kidflew,
How did you transfer your VHS footage to your JVC GR-D30? As I have one also and was wondering how you did it. It is my understanding that the D30 doesn't have an analog input.

    Thanks

    E-man
