DVD->DVDR with menus, no extras

Well, again, I've read post after post and guide after guide only to be confused more than when I started. I wanna be able to rip a dvd to dvdr, remove any extras, remove warnings, go straight to main menu (where I can choose either play movie or chapters) and include only the main movie and chapter selections. I originally thought this could be done by using only DVD Shrink 3 beta 05 and burning with recordnow max. However, I think I've learned that other apps must be used. I THINK, and this is what I need your help with, that I must use IFOEdit as well. Can someone give me a little direction without going overboard on the ifoedit b/c I am a new to this so abreviations will go over my head quickly.

Yeah I've read that post three times. Some people seem to like this method. Others seem to think the IFOEdit, DVDShrink and recordnow max(or whatever recording software you like) is a better solution for them. What do you think?

Ok, lemme make this clear.

If you want to remove the FBI warnings and shit you will HAVE to start fiddling with really advanced stuff (yeah, I consider IFO Edit to be "really advanced" when talking with newbies).

If not, then just fire up CloneDVD or Instant Copy, and unselect the stuff you don't want. Simple, quick, and you're done.
