evening all, right the prob is..............at first my tmpgenc wasnt reading my mpegs so i thought i was fooked. then i gave cybre high pro. now tmpgenc makes a file, a bit like a cue file so it now reconises my mpegs. but for some reason my 700 meg mpegs r reading at 2gigs? well some r and some arent? any ideas?

You're post is still not that clear I'm afraid.
The steps you're talking about are in the Project Wizard in TMPGEnc, I presume.

Also, what template are you using to re-encode your file ?

If you are trying to make a DVD, and you are in fact using the dvd template (meaning that you selected DVD NTSC or DVD PAL), then assumes that you are trying to put the file on a DVD disc, which has a capacity of 4.7gigs. So, this is why the file is so large (i think), because the bitrate is in the range that dvds use, which takes up much more space.
change the settings to VCD NTSC or VCD PAL, and you will get more compressed file, with lower picture quality, to fit on CD-R/RW though if your source file is 700 megs, i'm assuming it is longer than 80minutes? You will likely need to split it across two discs...asdf -
im using pal and nstc templetes. even though the file size starts of as say...2.5 gigs u can make them more nearer the 700 megs.
