I have inherited a thousand or more uncatalogued (S)VCD's and they are all labelled with the almost completely useless default VCDEasy names "VIDEOCD" or "SUPER_VIDEOCD." Also, the specs of these two otherwise wonderful formats require that the tracks are named after equally useless defaults.
Is possible to retrieve more useful information from (S)VCD's? I really would like to understand what is on each CD without having to play them all and catalogue them by hand.

Nope. If the author didn't have the sense to use more imaginative volume names, you're in for a viewing marathon.
