All:
I've seen a few others with this problem - the audio on my captures ends up being too loud on the final DVD. The wav file source looks good in Goldwave, plenty of range with no apparent clipping, but after processing with the video in TMPGEnc the final product is too strong. I have to turn the audio down on the receiver so low that a lot of range is lost.
What is the best place to process this - on the wav file itself in Goldwave (saving to another wav file I then use in TMPGEnc)? Or can I do it as part of the conversion from wav to mp2 in something like BeSweet? TMPGEnc has a feature for controlling the audio but I've read that its better to use other tools.
Any advice appreciated-
