    Well I'm not a lawyer so I could be wrong, but I was sure UK does have 'fair use' was OK. For example if I were teaching a class, I definatly do not need the copyright's holder for photocopying say an extract out of a book and handing out to the class.

    Also, I seem to remember that making a backup of software you already own is perfectly OK. Perhaps some smart assed lawyer can make the case that a movie is really software for a player?
