    Hi
I am new to this forum. I have reciently purchased a DVD re-writer. My name is Stan, i am 17 years old and live in Doncaster South Yorkshire. I am still at school study A-Levels.

Purchasing the dvd re-writer has been very benefitial, however i was dissapointed that coping original DVD- DVDR cannot be done without first placing it to the PC because of the copyright laws. Also i use DVDR shrink but this takes a long time to transfer the files from the DVD to my PC. Are there any other software that transfer data faster?

    Thank you

    Stan

Compared to how long it use to take , backing up a dvd can be done really fast now. it takes less than 90 minutes which is pretty reasonable.

What are you considering long, because the whole process, start to finish takes me about 30 minutes.

Your problem summed up in one word....NERO. I'm an "old fart" compared to you and I was relatively DUMB in school....but I DO know that the free programs found here in this site are MUCH better than most of the high priced - one button softwares people use.
    DVDShrink
    DVDDecrypter
    IFOEdit

    Keep reading....you'll learn alot here.
