Panasonic DVD recorders and DVD+R/RW.

I've heard conflicting reports on whether the Panasonic recorders can read DVD+R/RW.
Can anyone confirm this either way and in particular in the case of the E50.
I would also be interesed to hear which brands people have had success with.

E50 support DVD-R and DVD RAM only.

DVDplusRW.org's Compatibility List shows that the E50 reads DVD+R and DVD+RW.

Hmmm, like I said, there seems to be conflicting views on this.
Can anyone who actually owns an E50 confirm if their machine reads +R/RW discs and plays them 100% ?

I have the E80H and it will not read +R/+RW format. (I'm not exactly losing sleep over this, but I have tried it). I would suspect the same for the E50.

I have the Panasonic E50 and it reads and plays DVD+R just fine. I don't know about DVD+RW since I haven't tried it.
