I have a divx file and i want to convert it to dvd compliant. using avi codec i found out it is 25 fps (PAL) and 4:3 ratio. I tried loading it into tmpgenc and convert it using the guide provided... 2 things
1: because i want to go from divx to dvd-mpg and pal to ntsc, do i have to do any other extra steps? or can i just select ntsc dvd and it'll do the frame conversions?
2: it won't load the avi file, says cannot open or unsupported. I already have the divx 3 codec (which is what it is) and i already upped the priority of the directshow thing (that might not be what its called but i did the thing from the sticky post). Any help and i'll greatly appreciate it.

1) You CAN canovert from Pal to NTSC directly in Tmpgenc, but the playback will be jerky. There are several guides on format conversion in the User guides forum, take a look. Remember though, just because the guides title may not match EXACTLY what you are trying to do, it may still contain useful info and pointers.
2) Try frameserving from dvd2avi to Tmpgenc (it will open avi files, despite the name)
