    help need putting video onto Panisonic DMRE50EBS dvd-r

    strange thing happened,
    i have connected the video to the dvd recorder,
    when i put in a british video (PAL) the picture comes though fine,
    when i put in an american video i get no picture?

    does anyone know why this is?

    Probably because the E50 can't do video conversion from NTSC to PAL, so you could try changing the E50 to NTSC output in settings when watching an NTSC video.
