I used DVD shrink to copy a DVD movie. Then I tried to copy this "shrinked" movie with DVD Decrypter. But sadly it didn't work: I received lots of reading errors (in read mode). Is this a common problem with "shrinked" movies?

Are you doing a straight copy via ISO Read/ISO Write mode? I don't recall ever trying what you are doing....Hmmm.

Once a movie has been decrypted once and burned to dvd-r you no longer need to use a decrypting program such as dvd decryptor. Just use windows explorer!!!

No. It is common with bad media.

  5. FT Shark - it's much much faster to rip a DVD then copy the files to your HD in exploer. I can rip at 6-8x (~10MB/s), takes 3-5min per disc. Plus it's easier:

    1) Choose "Mode | ISO - Read", rip ISO image file
    2) Choose "Mode | ISO - Write", select image file and burn

Combining IMG Tools + DVD Decrypter and you've got a freeware DVD burning solution. This is actually my preffered way to burn authored disc, make copies of DVDR discs, and all DVD5 backups.
