    Hey Guys --

Can anyone recommend anyone or any site where there are some savy people who can help me with a Netscape email problem. Netscape somehow upgraded me from 7.0 to 7.01 without my knowledge or consent, and it didn't convert my email and addresses along with the "conversion." There are other issues associated with this problem, but I won't torture you guys with them.

I welcome any suggestions or leads any of you can offer me.

    Thanks.

  2. Hi, check out this sight. Has some really good information about Netscape.

I like Netscape, anything other than M$. But, since AOL has purchased Netscape, I think we'll see it go down hill. You might want to consider Mozilla. I now use it exclusively, it is very fast, and VERY stable. Read about it here: http://www.mozilla.org/

    Take care... and happy holidays!
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

Thanks for the lead. Have you tried Mozilla's import capabilites? And, have you ever spent any time with Eudora? I am tired of Netscape. I've got to find a new program.

    Thanks again.

  4. Actually, Mozilla is built on using Netscape's core, well, it's the other way around. But, Mozilla is open, like Linux. The code is available for anyone who wants to make a change.

As far as importing Netscape's data, Mozilla will use the exisiting Netscape data. It has mail. composer, and all the best features of Netscape, including some that have been left out of Netscape's latest versions. Let me know how it works out for you.

I checked out sillydog.org this afternoon at your suggestion. What a fabulous site! I'm still working on my problem, but this must be the mother-of-all netscape sites. Thanks for the lead.

I do find a "Netscape" email client can be unreliable in connecting to the server or to the servers generally.

I don't use Netscape Mail much anyway and the Netscape Browser isn't a problem and can be just as good or better than IE6.
