  2. One possibility is to de-multiplex the vob to .m2v (video) and .ac3 (audio) using TmpGenc Mpeg tools.

  3. Or...after coping the .vob files to your hard drive, change the .vob extension to a .mpg extension. Then see if if you can import the new .mpg files into Movie Factory. I've been able to do this using Studio 8.

The most efficient way is to load the VOB in Virtual Dub mod, then either save it as an AVI, or framserve it to TMPGEnc to encode it as an MPEG.

  5. - one way is to demux your video and audio streams using VOBEdit and then multiplex them using TMPEnc.

    - another way is to use TMPGEnc DVD Author (30 day trial available) to wite the mpg to your hard drive after importing DVD video.

    Hope this helps

P.S. I did get MovieFactory 2 to pass thru AC3 sound by changing a line item in the .ini.
    In XP, look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ulead
    Systems\Ulead DVD Movie Factory\2.01

Open DVDMF.ini in notepad and edit "PlayAC3=0" to "PlayAC3=1"

I know that works in dvd workshop. I haven't really tried it in Movie
Factory, it might work like some has said here.

Also, you'll have to multiplex the AC3 with mpeg since ulead doesn't accept
    streams.
    Good luck!
