Hi guys...I was out for a couple of days and see lots of discussions in this post. Thanks for good feedback but I still have a related question.

How about KaZaA Lite 2.1.0? This seems to be from Sherman's same developer of regular Kazaa. Any thoughts?
    Regards

    Luvvbuzz,

You can tell if your ID is high by my example below. The arrows on the globe should be green if you have a High ID.
Port forward TCP through your router Port # 4662 and UDP port # 4672. That's it. You will have a high ID. All routers have a way to do this, if you need help, just ask. It's not difficult to use.
As for edonkey being better than eMule, IIRC, the donkey has stopped being updated a while back, while work continues on eMule and eMulePlus. That's why most people use them.
I don't think you're expecting too much, but the way eMule works means it takes a while for it to get going, but as you complete chunks of files, your download speed will increase. You also have a credit file that keeps track of how much uploading you do (this is stored on other PC's on the network, not on yours, so it's not hackable to cheat). As you upload, you will have more credits and move up in the queue faster. Patience, and you will get more complete files off eMule than off kazaa.
You can also use Overnet ( www.overnet.com ), which connects to the eMule network and is serverless. Also you could use shareaza ( www.shareaza.com ) which connects to 4 networks (edonkey, gnutella 1 and 2, and bittorrent). You might find one of these more to your liking, and still be able to download verified files off the edonkey network, using the website links I mentioned earlier.
