Currently I download the MPEG2 file, edit it with WOMBLE and then burn the DVD with ULead DVD Movie Factory. I like the program (esp when I need to make menus and stuff) but for the most part, I just burn the DVD to disc for viewing in my standalone player, no menus needed since I dont define chapters or put multiple movies on the same disc.
Here is my problem. ULead is burning my DVDs to where I have to change my DVD audio output settings from BITSTREAM to PCM. (I would just leave it on PCM except I dont get dolby digital from my store bought/rented dvds). How can I burn these DVDs where I will have audio with the bitstream setting (I realize I wont have dolby sound, I just dont want to have to change my settings back and forth all the time)
Do I need to do something to the movie files before I burn it with ULead or do I need to use different software? I would be happy with a program that I can just give it an mpeg and it will make a DVD-VIDEO disc for me, and while menu's and stuff like ULead has would be nice, I don't need that (for the rare times I need to make Menus, I can always use ulead)
Thanks for your help.

Yea, well the replayTV part isnt that important. You can just pretend I said MPEG2 file. Thats all it is. The problem was more related to the audio after it was burned.

About what, renting dvds? Actually I use netflix, but its pretty much the same thing. I don't own them. If I put them in the DVD player, I have to make sure I don't have it still set to PCM in order to get sound coming out any other speaker but the front left and right.

About burning rented DVDs. I refer you to your text:
(I would just leave it on PCM except I dont get dolby digital from my store bought/rented dvds). How can I burn these DVDs where I will have audio with the bitstream setting (I realize I wont have dolby sound, I just dont want to have to change my settings back and forth all the time)Hello. -
I know, I am not trying to burn rented DVDs. I am refering to my own personal MPEG files that I want to put on a DVD that I can play in my standalone DVD player. "These DVDs" referes to where I started "First I download the MPEG file, then I edit it with WOMBLE" in the first paragraph. No, I am not asking for help in doing anything illegal, don't worry.
My point in bringing up the rented DVDs is that when I RENT one, I need to have my DVD player on BITSTREAM so I can watch it in dolby. Anytime I make my own dvd, it has to be played with my DVD player on PCM. If I attempt to watch a rented/bought DVD set to PCM, then I do not have any dolby. I am hoping I can burn my own dvds to play on the bitstream setting so that I do not have to constantly switch the settings back and forth. -
