  1. Hello all:

i am really getting frustrated with some conversion problems i am having.

I have a few episodes of a show that rhymes with "astlane" that i got from the usuall sources.

I have tried to convert with Avi@VCD, and of course i need to decompress the audio before i can convert it. So, when i run the decompressed video file through avi@VCD, i get some tricky problems. The video will be fine for the first few frames, and then the video will freeze and the audio will continue.

I have tried running the avi file through tmpgenc, and i am told that it is unsupported. I have tried running the mpg file (that was generated from avi2VCD) through tmpgenc, and the video turns out slightly better....but extremly choppy (like a frame every 15-20 seconds).

I have also tried to change the heading with AVIC....and i have not been able to find a working combination. Additionally, running the original video files (unaltered through avic, results in a "unknown converter for DX50 in virtualdub) When i change the header into with AVIC, i can get the file to laod with virtualdub....but it will not display the video (it says, error 100)

could anyone please let me know what i have to do to convert these files to svcd? thanks so much!

(yes, i have nemo codec pack installed)

  2. whyming with astlane=unnecessary information. you'll get better results here just asking your q:

Anyho, load the file in virtualdub then click file>file information
What type of deocmpressor is it using, and what kind of audio?
    this info will help.

  3. ok...im working with fastlane.
(i didnt want to promote or elude to something illegal, so i was keeping it tame.)

Incidentally, i wound up solving my problems by installing Divx 5.1.
    Derrr....me stupid sometimes.
