Hi, I just purchased a new DVD-R/RW burner for my Gateway laptop. I'm not sure what type of media I should buy, though. I am backing up my DVD's. Here are the specifications:

I've heard RITEK media is good, or TDK, but I'm not sure what speed or type (R or RW) is best compatible with this drive. My home DVD players support -R/RW media, so that should be ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks, everyone. In response, this is a modular Gateway DVD burner for my laptop. I wasn't sure the speed of media I should buy. I don't want to spend extra money on 4X media if my burner can only go at 2X. I think I'm gonna go with 2X -RW. Looking at the specs, I think 4X is not supported....

right click on the burner click properties and the hardware tab, or get dvdinfopro or some othe rapp to tell us the manufacturer and model.
