  1. which program can i used to merge Svcd-files together?
    I tried Tmpegenc but i got the next error message "the xxfile is not an mpeg file".

    'Rip' the MPG's with VCDGear, don't copy them from the disk. alternately you can De/ReMultiplex them to a different stream type (Program/System).

  3. i''ve already ripped them with vcdgear because the files were in bin-format.
    Do i''ve to ripped the mpeg2 files again with vcdgear?.
    the movie plays well with powerdvd only if i want to merge the files (4)
    i got errors.

  4. I'm certainly not an expert, but this should work ...

    Extract the DAT files from each SVCD via ISOBuster and then merge them with TMPGenc. After meging the files, you may want to run them through VCD Gear to check/correct any errors that may exist.

    Should work -- at least in theory !!

    Also -- In many cases I've just used the SVCD template in Nero (uncheck Standard CD compliance) and added the seperate MPG files (extracted via ISOBuster) to the SVCD. After you've added the files to be burned, right click on each file and set PAUSE AFTER TRACK to 0 seconds. I get no delays and seamless transition from MPG to MPG giving the appearence that it is just one big file !!! Also allows you to "skip" to the next file -- kind of like chapters.

    Works for me !!

    ** Of course rhis assumes you use Nero, while I am sure other burning software may have the same functionlaity. **
