  1. If I encode my svcd using the default svcd values for NTSC ie. resolution, aspect ratio, digital pixel ratio. Then will it fit on the full screen of a North American NTSC television screen when I play it in my DVD player.

    1)Using CD-r's

    2) Canopus Encoder (should not matter?)

    3) File output is *.mp2

    Thanks yall,
    Dino

It actually depends on the aspect ration of the source.

e.g, if your source is avi with res 640 * 480, the it will fill the screen. BUT if your source is 640 * 320 and you configure your encoder to maintain that apsect ratio (to ensure it looks correct on the Tv) then it will display letterboxed on the TV.

There is a good guide/thread in the user guides forum on understanding aspect ratios, take a look.
