hi,
i wasn't sure whether to put htis on the audio section, but this is more of an audio burning WAV files, not type of audio prob!
i have a friend who has recently bought an imported car (from japan --> UK). it hs a cd player, but the CD wont play his music CDs.
im just wondering why this is? do audio CDs have some kind of region on them?
if so, can he copy the wav files to his PC, and burn them to a CDR (perhaps with nero), and the read in & out section could contain japan region encoding>
any adice would be appreciated1!!

I am not aware of any region coding on audio discs. Is your friend trying to play originals or burned discs. Could be CDR incompatability if it is the later.

it could also be that some of the cd's he's trying to play are "protected" and wont play in his car cd player.
it commonly happens with high end cd players & some car cd players. -
he is trying with both CDRs and Audio. i guess it COULD be an MP3 player, but i doubt it! thanks all the same folkes! i will get him to try with various CDR brands!

sounds like a fucked up cd player if it wont play original cd's or cd-r copies.
