    -r or +r medai?
does the player support this media type?
use the DVD PLAYERS tab of the left hand column here under OTHER to see what media types is supports.

more specifics on the yamaha player....
do you know for a fact it supports -r media?
can you put the dvd into your mac and take a screenshot of the contents of the dvd?

you need to ensure that you made the image properly so that the format of the dvd is proper (otherwise it may not playback on all dvd players)

    Should be on this order
(---- implies a fodler with in the dvd)
(*** implies files within a folder)

    DVD_NAME
    ----AUDIO_TS
    ----VIDEO_TS
    *****VIDEO_TS.IFO
    and so on....
