Problems backing up DVD to DVDR - Nero 5.5.10.54 & DVDRU

I wanted to try one of my DVDs that didn't need to be re-encoded to fit on a DVDR. JP3 fits neatly on one DVDR - so I tried that first. I used DVDdecryptor to rip the DVD and then Nero 5.5.10.54 to burn it. I used the DVD VIDEO setting and put all of the files into the VIDEO_TS folder. There were 5 .VOB files and one .IFO file. The burn completed sucesfully and I tired to put it in out standalone player and it didn't work "Can't play DVD". I'll get the exact model number when I'm back at home.

I tired it in my Liteon 8x DVDrom and it sees the DVD and can read the files, but it will not play in WinDVD. If I manually select a VOB file off of the DVDR in WinDVD it will play it. So it looks like it can see the data - it just doesn't seem to recognize it as a Video DVD.

UDF is 1.02 (I guess Nero fixed that a while ago), so I don't think that is a problem. Any ideas?

I'm running XP and the latest version of Nero 5.5. My Sony DVDRU510 has been flashed to 2.0G.

Make sure joliet is unchecked and ISO level 1 is also selected.

Unless u use DVD Decrypter in ISO mode, you can't just rip and burn. When using IFO or FILE modes, the files must be processed/compressed first with something like DVD Shrink or DVD2One. The resulting files can then be burnt using Nero in DVD-Video mode.
