HELP ME VCD BURNING FREEZES!?!

OKay, so i have these burning programs, nero, adaptec. The movie i am burning is a very recent one, and is already in mpeg format, on 2 files. The problem is, with nero: it will freeze up at the finalizing stage, but then it will finally complete itself, but the vcd will show no files on it and it will not play in powerdvd.
The problem with adaptec: the same thing, but it just freezes and stays there. Any suggestions on this problem would be helpfull, thanks..

Get rid of Adaptec. Adaptec doesn't play well with other
burning programs. Also in Nero are you choosing the VCD option when burning? This might sound dumb, but a lot of people don't actually choose this option at first. Try this and then see what happens.

Okay thanks for the info on adaptec, i have both installed, that is nero and adaptec, that should be screwing with my vcd burning should it? But yes, i did choose the vcd option in adaptec, ive done this before, but this is the only problem ive had with vcd's as of yet...
