  1. Is there any forum with really massive traffic like this one, but where people talks about enhancing video looks ?

Something where you can find tips about what color values, frame rate conversions, great filters and plugins, etc. for enhance wideo quality and kill that handycam video look.

  2. Most of what you crave will come from actually knowing how to use a camera - framing, lighting, operation. Have a look at some of the forums at www.dvdoctor.net its a UK site, but camera techniques are universal.

  3. If you don't want it to look like video then you won't be "enhancing" it. To look like film you actually have to make it worse.

Besides the lighting, no zooming, depth of field, and the other physical stuff, there is little left to do. A little color correction, a high quality de-interlace, grain, and a little blur and the higher motion frames.

TechTV had several professionals on talking about this. Basically to make your video look like film you have to shoot like you are using film. Then you have to "dumb it down" and make it look "worse".

you might try the Creative Cow Forums for whatever editing software you use. this subject crops up on the Vegas forum at least weekly.

there is also a website with some good advice for getting a more filmic look from video footage, I don't have the link offhand, but when I get back to my home computer*, I'll post it in this thread.

    (*... in about a week... )

  5. Michael, is more complex than that.

for example : Let's pretend that i want to capture home videos. You answer is something like :

    - Is easy man, you just have to buy a TV card, load the program , set the resolution, select the compression and hit "Capture".

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

As we both know, there are so many things in the capturing area, that makes it very complex, and this forum is a prove of that, cause there's a section dedicated only for capturing area.

Well, there's no section for enhancing video looks, and i'm looking for a forum not just to find stuffs to make my videos look better, also to ask complex things in specific areas.

You forgot to recommend a forum. :P, but don't worry, you have a record with 68 posts, since agoust 2001 with that username.

    Congratulations.

wich the minimal count of posts, to deserve respect ? i'm confused.
