Ripping dvd and re-incoding

I am trying to rip the individual episodes of the sopranos dvd's so I can get two episodes to fit on one disk. So far, I have used smart ripper to rip some of the episodes but I am having a hard time matching the files up after I rip them. The file names are the same for each episode. Also, what software would I use to re-incode the individual episodes. Any help would be appreciated.

Rip all files to your hard disk, then use DVDShrink to select the episodes you want and re-encode. DVDShrink will just show you the features and will do the file matching for you based on your choices.
