  1. Hey,

I always use philips dvd+r and never had any problems but now i got a spindle and mis burned 5 dvds already (out of 12).

    I use the philips dvdrw228 burner (2.4x), philips 1-4x dvd+r, nero 6.0.0.0

I get the following error in nero:
    Burn process started at 2.4x (3,312 KB/s)
    PHILIPS DVDRW228
    Unspecified target error
    Generating DVD high compatibility borders
    Generating DVD borders successfully
    Burn process faild at 2.4x (3,312 KB/s)

I burned a dvd before i got the error and i burned the same dvd right after the error without any problems.
    Greatings,
    Yf

I was burning last night with Nero and got an "unspecified target error." I opened My Computer and noticed my DVD burner was listed as a regular CD-ROM. I shut down the computer and performed a cold boot. My DVD burner was again recognized, but I don't know why it happened in the first place. I hope this is helpful.
