  1. ok Im new to files that come in rar or zip formats,

I got this file , an when it was finished dl'ing there was like
35-36 lil rar files labled around 14,636 kb

then under that theres like 40 or some lil files labeled as

''insert file name here, such an such ''.r1 ,r2, r3,r4 etc. an so on til like
    40

Ok i got win rar ,, so i tryed to extract one of em,

an it poped out as a full like 600mb file,

then i went to play it an divx player said
''the video file you are playing includes audio data that is not recognized
    by the divx player''

    audio tag :8192

so I went ahead an played the file just to see ,

and the video was fine, an the movie was intact to the best of my knowledge,

    so my question[s] are this,

what is the deal with all this rar files in a movie file like this?
whats the purpose, and did I extract them right?
Or , do i need to go an extarct every single one of them?

    an last,, the audio prob?

is this just a codec isssue? or is it from the rar files?

    thanks alot

  3. I didnt think i was supposed to name movies etc. in my post?

    but the headers reads,,

    ''moviename''.xvid-dvl_[bt-gm]-EF-Net

so i guess its like a dvl !

,,I m pretty sure the audio thing is like a codec issue

so any idea what audio codec I need/

''then i went to play it an divx player said
''the video file you are playing includes audio data that is not recognized
    by the divx player'' ''

    audio tag :8192 ''

  4. I'm no expert but here's my suggestions:

DVL - is a movie p*r*cy group. XVid is the type of file you have which is mosly what that groups uses.
When you got a bunch of rar files...select all the .rar files and hit extract to.then give it a name...but make sure you have WinRAR installed.
I beileve people do this because it compresses the file making it a bit smaller and faster to download.

For the codec issue...download GSpot Appliance. It will tell you what codes you have. When you select a movie it will tell you if you can play it and if you can't it will tell you what you need..

Hope this helps, Let me know

winrar is good if you want to split a long file. Usually for easy downloading.

You should open the first file only and extract the whole file from there. Usually the first file doesn't have a number on it. Maybe you can try to rename it to avi or something.

You are discussing Warez, which means pirated movies, which is a forum no-no.

Use WINRAR and double click on the first or last file, it will extract to an AVI file.
