I like the function from Pioneer DVR-7000 that you can send your movie from computer trough firewire to burn a DVD-R.
I'm interesting only into transfer my final video from timeline of non linear video edited program to DVD writer ( Could be Pinnacle Edition 5.5 Liquid).
What about the DVR-510H-S ? It has the same function ?
Thanks.

If it has FireWire input than probably yes. I used PC, Pinnacle Studio version 8, Philips 75/17 and it worked.

Donpedro when you say If it has FireWire input than probably yes. . I agree with you, because very little DVD-R recordable can accept firewire transfer from PC, mostly only from Digital Camera.

I wonder why you use the "probably yes" expression. This is neither affirmative or negative and I consider your answer as useless.Originally Posted by donpedro

From the evaluation I have read on Computer Video.net:Originally Posted by Yvon

There is nothing that is nice what I would write as an reply to your comment, so I will not write anything in that matter.Originally Posted by Yvon
For icevideo : I wonder what could be the reason not to accept Fire Wire input from PC ? Is there any diffrence between FireWire from PC and Camcorder ? Maybe it can depend on program used to send signal... I don't know and that is why I say "probably"... because I didn't test it and it is my assuption.Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
First of all peace on earth guys !
Donpedro,
I belive is matter of secure and trying to control copyrighted and illegal copy of DVD's, that's the reason that not all the DVD-R with firewire input accept PC control.
I found a lots of DVD recorder in internet, but just a few, maybe 2 or 3 models accept control from PC, and further to send the movie trough firewire to record in DVD.
I use Pinnacle Edition 5.5 Liquid version and hopefully I will find the right DVD recorder who will accept my NLE program.
Thanks to all

Not good time for me yet.... It was too expensive and it didn't have hard drive. Also... I am planing to move from US to Europe and support for only 110V will cause only trouble.Originally Posted by icevideoPinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home)

The 510 will accept firewire to and from computer. I use premier and can send the timeline to burn to the 510 through firewire. Why the name icevideo?Originally Posted by icevideo

Why the name icevideo?
Because a video has to play nice, smooth like a dancer on the ice, to be like a crystal, cold like a beer and clean and perfect like an ice.
That's why !
... so is working, that's great , thanks !
From pioneer tech support I got a message that the Studio 8.10 does NOT "support" non-linear transfers (only outputing the ENTIRE movie to the DV-CAM).
Now what can I say ?
