    How can you use one of these recorders to make back-up copies of DVD's, if they are copy-protected?

    programs remove the copy protection, such as dvdshrink, dvddecrypter, smartripper, etc

    Or (if I am not mistaken) you can hack DVD player to macrovision , C??? something free and use it as any other source.
