  1. I belive this would be an 'Advanced' conversion question, if not I appologise in advance.

Today I break new ground, so to speak. I'm dealing with Matroska and OGM content, wishing to convert them to SVCD for easy TV viewing. VirtualDub Mod has finally had a release with full Matroska support, but it dosn't seem to utalise the subtitles correctly. So while I can use VdubMod to force feed Matroska into Tmpgenc, though I have to convert the audio stream to WAV first. My problem is those softcoded subtitles, and without them I'm watching content in a language I'll never understand. Vdubmod dosn't seen to be able to overlay the subtitles threw the frameserver... So I was hopeing there were alternatives.

I am able to demux an SRT Subtitle stream from the Matroska file, so now I'm wondering if I can find a filter for Vdub that will load this SRT file similar to how the filter for SubStationAlpha and Vdub works... but I can't find one.

I've also considdered finding a program that would convert the SRT Subtitle file into a subtitle stream for SVCD. The thing is, I've never worked with soft subs in SVCD/DVD and havn't a clue where to begin.

    Little help?

  2. Add a filter to the video. Use TextSub or other filters, and add your subtitle file. Then save as AVI using full processing mode.
