    Hello. Im getting a dvd burner for christmas and I was wondering ...if a movie is a dvdrip and is a svcd...that isnt a true dvdrip correct? Its a Dvdrip that was converted into a SVCD. Am I correct on that?

    yes thats correct. It was still a rip originally but the conversion makes it SVCD and no longer DVD.
