Is there any way on windows xp for me to tell how fast my dvd reader actually reads disks? I have a 5 year old pioneer dvd-113 which seems to read at about 1x, yet the website says it should be 6x (see post earlier).
As i have long since thrown the box, has anyone any ideas?
many thanks from a dvd newbie (so new i thought newbie was an actual person until recently)

Well for rated speed the manufacturer should have the information on their website even if the drive is outdated.
The real answer lies in completely understanding the question!
