problem burning to dvd-r

until tonight i have been using nero v6 to burn my dvd-r discs with no problems.

tonight i tried to burn a dvd-r with nero, and it has a lot of trouble and eventually fails to burn. (the buffer fills up then empties repeatedly) nero will still burn to cd / vcd / svcd with no problems.

has anyone else come across this problem before, and if so , how can i fix this problem?

any ideas ? ..... anyone..... ?

win xp pro, 1gig , nero 6 , pioneer dvr-105.

Quite a few people have posted a similar question here before, and it seems to be down to XP changing your DMA settings. If you reset these in the control panel you might find this fixes your problem.
